Our mission is to develop and deploy reliable and easy to use AI solutions that empower our customers to optimize their supply chain operations while prioritizing data security, privacy and transparency. We strive to leverage the power of AI to augment human capabilities by automating mundane or repetitive tasks while fostering trust and driving innovation.
Responsible AI Development Guiding Principles
Responsible AI development and deployment is important to us and to our customers. As such, we have put in place and adhere to the following guiding principles:
- Customer Data Privacy and Security: We protect customer data under SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards, and participate in the EU-U.S., UK, and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. No customer or FourKites data is used to train or improve any third party AI model or infrastructure. In addition, we conduct due diligence on our third party providers' security, privacy and AI practices before engaging them and through periodic reviews.
- Transparency: We are transparent about our AI solutions, their capabilities and how our customers can manage their use through clear documentation and straight-forward answers.
- Human-Centric Approach: Our AI solutions are designed to augment human capabilities, not replace them. We focus on creating tools that enable users of the FourKites Platform to make informed decisions. Our AI solutions are not intended to make automated decisions on behalf of customers, ensuring human oversight and control. Every agent action follows your business rules and is monitored, auditable, and overridable by your team.
- Continuous Improvement: We are committed to ongoing research and development to improve our AI solutions, incorporating feedback from customers and staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
- Ethical Use: We promote the ethical use of AI in accordance with applicable laws and the FourKites Code of Conduct and encourage our customers to do the same.
- Fairness and Non-Discrimination: We design our AI solutions to be fair and unbiased, ensuring that they do not discriminate against any individual or group. FourKites' AI solutions are designed around supply chain and logistics data such as shipment locations, delivery times, carrier performance, and transportation metrics. The nature of this operational data does not contain any personal demographic information or characteristics that could lead to discriminatory outcomes.
- Accountability: We hold ourselves accountable. We have established an AI Council that oversees AI initiatives across FourKites. We monitor regulatory developments in this rapidly evolving field and we continuously monitor and improve our AI solutions.
