The collaboration with FourKites to be able to customize what we are sharing on the intranet page has been extremely helpful. We have received really good feedback from our retailers and we are starting to give them more visibility than they have ever had before.

The Challenge

Ace Hardware's stores could only see one upcoming delivery at a time, and unpredictable schedules limited labor planning and Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) fulfillment. Coordinating delivery visibility across 5,000+ independently owned co-op stores compounded the challenge.

Our Solution

Ace Hardware partnered with FourKites to surface every store's next five inbound deliveries on a custom intranet page, consolidating shipments from Ace fleets, third-party carriers, and parcel providers like FedEx into one predictable view. With accurate windows in hand, stores can plan labor and unlock supplemental deliveries that improve speed and efficiency for BOPIS fulfillment.

The Result

Ace Hardware stores can now receive up to three deliveries per week, versus one to two previously, with faster BOPIS fulfillment and lead times. The added visibility positions independent stores to compete more effectively with big-box retailers.

Not only are our store getting that product quicker for their customers, but they're able to schedule their labor even better now as well.
